#TheGrinchWasSentencedTo via Hashtag, You’re It!: @McMannofthePeop The Top Picks

So the other day I was watching the 2000 remake of “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” with Jim Carrey. It’s not the best film ever and I’m not about to get into a review of the film here. Maybe that can be for another hashtag game. But there was something I noticed in this viewing of the film that got me to thinking about something. In one of the earlier scenes of Whoville, while they are going on their manic Christmas frenzy, there were a couple of characters in the background that caught my attention. Police officers. That’s right Whoville has law enforcement. I guess The Book Of Who has more than just rules, it has laws. So to enforce those laws you need officers of the law. You need a penal system. You need a jail to keep those naughty Whos locked up. At some point you need a judicial system to administer punishment for law breakers. My mind swirled with frantabulous cerflinkers of thought about what that has to be in the land of Who. Are there master criminals in Whoville? What’s the worse that has happened? Larceny? Jury Tampering? Arson? MURDER? Is the Whoville judicial system ever prepared for those kind of crimes? The only example of a person breaking the law that we can go on is that nasty green resident who lives on the top of Mount Crumpit, The Grinch. In one night he stole every bit of christmas out of that town. Decorations, presents, trees, food, why he even took their last can of who hash. As if breaking and entering every single house in Whoville weren’t enough he was going to destroy all of their possessions as well. That’s a lot of counts against him in a normal legal sense. So, heart enlarging redemption aside, what would all of that mean in the way of sentencing? What does the theft of a major holiday get you in the way of Whoville justice? And that was the question that I put to you guys with this week’s “Hashtag, You’re It” which was #TheGrinchWasSentencedTo We got to the #5 place in the U.S. trend. So check out the top list below and don’t forget to join me every Tuesday 11 am EDT for the next episode of “Hashtag, You’re It”. Oh and one last thing…….. is there a Whoville branch of the ASPCA that we can call for his treatment of Max?
