The very first “For Dummies” self help book was published back in 1991. It was entitled “DOS For Dummies” and was extremely popular because at that time there wasn’t many approachable material for learning how to code in DOS. The “For Dummies” book series started as mostly a computer related reference matter. It then spread to more general topics and are still sold in stored today with over 2500 different titles such as “Fishing For Dummies”, “Classical Music For Dummies”, “Magic For Dummies”, “Mutual Funds For Dummies”, “Diabetes For Dummies”, and “Parenting For Dummies”. These books are used as a starter guide about certain topics. It’s how you get your foot in the door on knowledge that you might be lacking in. But there is one topic that people know nothing about that we really need a “For Dummies” book on. Scholars have been trying to understand it for years. Philosophers have been spouting ideas for ages. There has been songs written about it. Movies dedicated to it. Yet we are still completely in the dark as to any aspect of it. That is Love. The greatest human mystery since he beginning of time. So why not a definitive book on the topic of Love? We need a “Love For Dummies”. Hell, it could even be a multi-set book series like the encyclopedia! I don’t wonder who wrote the book of love, I wonder what’s in it. What does it say? What advice can it teach us? Are their illustrations? Well the very first thing that you do with a reference book is look at the table of contents so you can see what the chapter titles are. This brings us to this week’s “Hashtag, You’re It” where I asked Twitter for some #BookOfLoveChapterTitles. So check out the top list below and don’t forget to join me every Tuesday at 11 am EDT. for the next exciting episode of “Hashtag, You’re It”.

The book of love is long and boring
And written very long ago
It’s full of flowers and heart-shaped boxes
And things we’re all too young to know
