What can I say, this year’s thanksgiving is going to be completely different that any other! With a pandemic raging in the country and the number of infected rising the CDC has recommended that people not travel and have their Thanksgiving celebrations through video conferencing sites. Skype, Facetime, Google Hangout, and Zoom (to name a few) will be the most popular app this year. But this holiday celebration online will take some getting use to. Will you have a long dining table with a screen for the grandparents in Minneapolis, one for the parents in Chicago, one for the sister in Denver, one for the brother in Michigan, and one for the aunt in England? Or will your one computer screen hold 25 little boxes with all your relatives talking over one another? All of this is new ground for us. Will you still make a whole Thanksgiving dinner for you to sit alone in front of a computer or just heat up a Stouffer’s frozen dinner to save time? With the number continually going up, America’s online Thanksgiving will be a trial run for the rest of the world for next month’s Quarantine Christmas. So let’s work out all the kinks NOW so we don’t mess up Christmas. THat’s why this week’s “Hashtag, You’re It” was #MyZoomThanksgivingIncludes. So check out the top list below and don’t forget to join me every Tuesday at 11 am EDT for the next exciting episode of “Hashtag, You’re It”.
