#LazyOlympicEvents via Hashtag, You’re It!: @BrandNewMcMann The Top Picks

To become an Olympic champion takes a hardcore, lifetime commitment. You have to start at a very young age. Train from way too early in the morning to much to late at night. Give up on a lot of normal things in your life. Spend countless amounts of money on coaches, gear, and training. Sacrifice your childhood. All of this just for the chance of a medal that only has a net worth of $532. (that is the current worth for the gold in a 1st place medal from the 2016 Rio Olympics). So the momentous amount of time and energy you need to become an Olympic athlete really turns the rest of us off deciding to do that for a career choice. I can barely do 15 minutes of exercise let alone training for years and years. So 99.999999999% of us will never know the joy of standing up on that winner’s podium while our national anthem is played. Buuuuuut, what if they had some Olympic events that even us couch potatoes could participate in! This is the question i posed to Twitter this week with the hashtag #LazyOlympicEvents. If tweeting was an Olympic event you guys would have won gold because we even trended to the #13 spot in the U.S. So check out the top list below and don’t forget to join me every Tuesday at 11 am EDT for the next exciting episode of “Hashtag, You’re It”
