#AddASongToAMovieTitle via Hashtag, You’re It!: The Top Picks By @BrandNewMcMann

Songs are a huge part of movies. You can’t go see a 007 movie without getting his theme songs stuck in your head. After watching an Indiana Jones movie you can’t resist putting on a hat and cracking an imaginary whip while humming HIS theme song. And after watching any of the good “Star Wars” movies you can’t help but put a blanket around your shoulders and walk around the house singing “Da, da, da, Dat, da, da, Dat, Da, da…..” over and over again. Songs in movies help us understand just exactly what emotions we are supposed to be feeling at any given time during the movie. It’s been like that from the beginning! Before movies even had sound they had a musical track, usually performed by someone in the room. Just based on the song alone we were told who the hero was, who the villain was, and when we should applaud or boo. Ironically there is no such thing as a silent movie. But what if we were able to combine the two. Have songs AND movies together. That’s why this week’s “Hashtag, You’re It” was #AddASongToAMovieTitle. I guess people have thought about this as well because we trended to the #5 spot on the U.S. trend list on Twitter. So check out the top list below and don’t forget to join me every Tuesday at 11 am EDT. for the next exciting episode of “Hashtag, You’re It”
