He’s a fun fact I learned while doing my research for this week’s game: The Grinch is 53 years old. Bet THAT’S something that you didn’t know about the Grinch huh. First published in 1957, “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” by Dr. Seuss (Theodore Geisel) became a holiday classic. The 1966 animated version narrated by Boris Karloff further pushed this book into the stratosphere of holiday echelon. It’s a holiday tradition in every household, in one adaptation or another. Whether it’s the original cartoon, the Jim Carrey version, the stage musical, or the more recent Benedict Cumberbatch animated version. The Grinch has been with us for almost 65 years and it doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere soon. But that’s the thing, as I was saying that just today I learned that the Grinch 53 years old when the book takes place. So what other surprises about the Grinch do I not know?
