One of the very first references to there even BEING a Mrs. Claus was in a 1854 musical written in Utica New York. Oh, did I forget that the musical was from the State Lunatic Asylum of Utica New York. See, learning IS fun! But it really drives the point home that we know really next to nothing about the woman who married the fat jolly old man himself. There have been many back stories given but no one real answer to who this woman is, or even who she was. Where was she born? Did she go to school? Has she ever been married before? What is her maiden name? So to help me learn more about Mrs. Claus I asked Twitter for some #SecretsFromMrsClausPast. So check out the top list below and don’t forget to join me every Tuesday at 11 am EDT for the next exciting episode of “Hashtag, You’re It”
