#DownsideOfBeingAMuppet via “Hashtag, You’re It”!: The Top Picks By @BrandNewMcMann

It’s time to play the music. It’s time to light the lights. It’s time to meet the Muppets……for REAL this time! The Muppets have been with us for almost 70 years now. Let that one sink in a little bit. The Muppets were first created way back in 1955 so the Muppets are on social security now! We’ve all grown up on the Muppets wacky antics but there are still a few things that we don’t know about them. Like the fact that “The Muppet Show” wasn’t an American show. Yup, you heard that right. No American network had any interest in making Jim Henson’s show so he had to take it to England and then CBS syndicated it a year later. So the entirety of “The Muppet Show” was filmed in England. Also a fun fact is that one of the original pilots for “The Muppet Show” was entitled “The Muppet Show:Sex And Violence”. Quite a jump from “Sesame Street” huh. But with almost 70 years of entertaining us that has to be a dark side to those felt monsters. It can’t always be easy being green. So for this week’s “Hashtag, You’re It” I asked twitter for some examples of the #DownsideOfBeingAMuppet. So check out the top list below and don’t forget to join me every Tuesday at 11 am EDT for the next exciting episode of “Hashtag, You’re It”
